Job Description
As the Director of Imaging Services, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of respiratory and radiology operations, including echo, stress echo, CAT scans, diagnostics, ultrasound, MRI, mammography, and other related services. Your leadership skills will guide our team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital guidelines.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Supervise personnel and clinical activities, promoting ongoing education and performance improvement projects.
2. Establish policies and procedures for the department, ensuring safety and service for our patients.
3. Manage daily operations, staffing, and productivity standards, aligning with organizational goals.
4. Collaborate with the radiation safety officer to conduct Radiation Safety Committee meetings and implement recommendations.
5. Provide general services to a wide variety of populations, including pediatric, medical, surgical, chemotherapy, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, post-partum, and nursery patients.
6. Monitor programs such as PACS and updates on the Epic system, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
7. Represent CHI in community events, activities, or board memberships as requested by administration, as part of our Community Benefit Program.
8. Communicate issues with the Vice President of Patient Care on a regular basis, addressing concerns and implementing solutions.
9. Perform other duties assigned by management, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should hold a graduate degree from an approved Radiologic Technology School and possess a minimum of five years of radiology experience, including at least three years of supervisory experience. ARRT certification and multiple modality training are highly desirable.
