- Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Corrects and repairs minor plumbing, to include flush valve, drain stoppage, faucet repairs and shower valve repairs.
- Corrects med gas valve leaks by rebuilding front bodies as required.
- Corrects and repairs minor electrical problems such as replaces ballasts, receptacle and light switches.
- Performs all general maintenance assignments as required.
- Completes inspections according to established procedures completing log sheets, checklists and PM sheets as required.
- Completes required documentation in reference to mechanical systems as required by federal, state and regulatory agencies.
- Assist other skilled workers and performs general maintenance work as requested.
- Facilitates the efficient operation of the department by answering the telephone and assisting callers or visitors with request.
- Safe handling / disposal / packaging for Transport of Pharmaceutical Waste / Hazardous Materials / Biohazardous Regulated Medical Waste. 1) Completes the Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCA) and Hazardous Waste education during employee orientation. 2) Tri-annually education for the D.O.T. training. 3) Knowledgeable of the process for identifying the proper waste stream and uses the appropriate container to dispose of waste. 4) Knowledgeable regarding the process to contact the emergency response coordinator for hazardous waste / pharmaceutical release / spill clean-up.

Provides general maintenance coverage on any shift. This position requires multiple skills and demonstrates excellent team skills in supporting the mission, standards and program of the department.
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 year commercial maintenance experience
19.68 - $27.06 / hour
