At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.

1. _Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations._
2. _Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members._
3. _Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met._
4. _Manage performance including : setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action._
5. _Ensures that all infection control, OSHA and Joint Commission (Environment of Care) standards are met. Monitors operational programs, assuring that buildings are maintained in a safe, clean, and operationally effective condition._
6. _Administers annual competency assessment process; develops, initiates, and maintains EVS departmental policies and procedures; documents staff training to ensure full program compliance._
7. _Communicates and coordinates department activities with those of other departments by attending and participating in facility and divisional committees such as peer groups, infection control, and other committees._
8. _Other duties as assigned by management._
Bachelors Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Masters Degree and no experience
