Responsibilities
$15,000 Sign-on Bonus, $10,000 Educational Assistance
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Under the direction of a physician, performs radiographic imaging procedures with minimal supervision. Provides healthcare services as needed, utilizing diagnostic equipment to produce images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Exercises professional judgment in performance and maintains medical ethics.
Uses and discloses patient protected health information: 1) only as it applies to job function, 2) in amounts minimally necessary for intended purposes, and 3) in a confidential manner.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assesses patients and verifies informed consent for invasive procedures; provides clear explanations and assists physicians with interventional procedures.
- Selects proper equipment, sets technical factors, and gathers supplies for procedures; recognizes radiation safety standards and follows protocols.
- Obtains clear patient histories and records data for image interpretation and future encounters.
- Evaluates image quality and reports equipment issues to supervisors.
- Maintains equipment and reports shortages, failures, or malfunctions using the CHI incident reporting system.
- Participates in quality improvement projects, accreditation processes, and regulations applicable to staff licenses or certifications.
Qualifications
Required Education:
− Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program
− Currently registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
− License to practice radiology in NE
− Must be ARRT CT certified within 2 years of hire - Will train
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
− Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures as required for position
− Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities
− Self-motivated, able to take ownership of projects/assignments
− Team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
− Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
Pay Range
$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
