    • Responsibilities
    • The Workers Compensation Coordinator is responsible for directing, implementing and managing all aspects of the workers compensation program for one or more facilities within a given Market. The position will provide advocacy and support for injured employees and influence safety investigation and loss prevention follow up with key stakeholders. This role will be responsible for understanding and communicating key policies and key metrics across all levels of the organization.

    • Essential Key Job Responsibilities
    • 1. Manage the Return-to-Work Program by :

      1. Coordinating participation in transitional duty and communicate / enforce the Transitional Duty policy,

      2. Reviewing medical reports for restrictions,

      3. Encouraging permanent placement in alternate positions, and

      4. Monitoring for ADA and other regulatory compliance by referring to Human Resources

      2. Communicate claim and incident trending information to key stakeholders to facilitate loss prevention and mitigation opportunities and programs

      3. Develop and provide internal communication and education to all levels of the organization regarding workers compensation program details and processes and employee safety goals and initiatives

      4. Advocate and support injured employees

      5. Coordinate claim investigation with supervisors, injured employees, witnesses and others to assure appropriate loss prevention mitigation or safety corrections occur

      6. Participate in claim reviews and settlement discussions to strategize and identify best practices and timely claim resolution

      7. Maintain OSHA logs, including proper posting and reporting per OSHA regulations

      8. Direct employees for medical treatment, as allowed by state law

      9. Maintain regular communication with injured employees in order to advocate and provide employment status information

      10. Report claims to TPA and initiate and manage Workers Compensation Leaves of Absence with LOA Central for the duration of the claim

      11. Establish a relationship with treating physicians (when possible) and educate them on the Return-to-Work Program, values of the organization and treatment expectations

      12. Review monthly reports for trending and other analysis

    • Qualifications
    • One of the following :

    • A Bachelors Degree and two (2) years of experience in workers compensation, employee safety or human resources OR
    • Five (5) years of experience in workers compensation, employee safety or human resources and no degree
    • Basic Competence with the Google Suite and Microsoft Office
    • Ability to Prepare and present presentations
    • Strong Analytical capabilities
    • Ability to work independently, while exhibiting excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external customers professionally
    • Knowledge of workers compensation processes
    • Pay Range
    • 21.80 - $31.62 / hour
