The Monitor Tech works under the supervision or direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed personnel, and provides bedside patient care in the Emergency Room and is an integral part of the care team. The Monitor Tech must demonstrate behaviors consistent with Catholic Health's model of patient care.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities :
- Reading multiple telemetry monitors and Reports all cardiac rhythm changes to nursing & / or physician
- Troubleshooting alarms and adjust if indicated, with consultation of nursing & / or physician
- Remaining at central monitoring station unless otherwise directed by Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or designee
- Documenting cardiac rhythm in EMR
- Ensuring all patients ordered for a telemetry monitor are on a monitor frequently.
- Appropriately perform phlebotomy and EKG's as needed
- Collect and labels specimens, at patient's bedside
- Perform and documents quality control for point of care testing
- Maintain adequate supplies

Pay Range
USD $25.30 - USD $28.35 / Hr.
