Job Overview
Catholic Health System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team. This individual will work closely with system leadership to establish and maintain a comprehensive Clinical Pharmacy Services Program.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate various programs and activities within the specialty area.
- Develop and deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals, residents, and patients.
- Precept pharmacy residents across the system.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory regulations and assist in maintaining readiness by regulatory agencies.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) with PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in an acute care or ambulatory care setting is required.
- PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in the area of specialization is preferred.
- Current residents accepted for application.
Licensure and Academic Requirements:
- The PharmD degree must be obtained from an ACPE-accredited US school of pharmacy or a foreign school recognized by BPS and/or ASHP.
- A valid license and current registration to practice Pharmacy in New York State are required.
Key Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze laboratory results and apply them to patient care in a clinical setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to convey educational material effectively.
