Summary :
The Educator Clinical Applications associate is a Registered Professional Nurse with responsibilities that include the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive clinical educational programs and clinical information systems applications for caregivers in order to meet the regulatory and business needs of Catholic Health Home and Community Based Care (HCBC).Serves as clinical consultant to nursing and support staff in multiple organizations with various levels of care. This unique position focuses on education for home care associates and provides a variety of opportunities, skills, and knowledge.
Responsibilities : EDUCATION
Associate Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare related field required
BSN or BA in a Healthcare related field strongly preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
Licensure and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year teaching / training experience required.
Minimum of one (1) year Home Care operations and regulations experience strongly preferred.
Minimum of (1) year Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required
Minimum of one (1) year experience of clinical documentation applications experience required
Adult learning / teaching experience including virtual learning preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical processes and operations
Knowledge of federal and state regulations
Technical knowledge of computer applications strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated skills with personal computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to train associates in appropriate job functions
Ability to establish good working relationships with associates at all levels
Must possess a valid driver's license and have a car available for work use
Ability to multi task
Ability to facilitate discussions, brainstorming sessions and team processes
Ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of any changes or modifications, technical or operational to a complex clinical environment
