Summary:
Responsibilities include the end user support of Catholic Health's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for the clinical system. Interacts directly At-The-Elbow (ATE) with clinic providers, associates and managers by making regular rounds to the CHS and TMC locations in order to answer questions, improve correct use of, and comprehension of the EMR clinical system. Facilitates a process, people, and technology method of transformation. Supports the organizations' IT Applications for Catholic Health and Trinity Medical facilities. Identifies and implements software solutions for CH business and/or clinical needs.
Communicates changes, updates, and additional implementations of the EMR clinical system. Prepares specifications and documentation related to systems. Supports the correct, efficient, and standardized use of clinical systems appropriate to their job duties. Provides support to providers in the adoption of EMR clinical system modifications and processes related to technology changes and act as the technical liaison by providing technical and functional analysis, system building and testing.

Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Bachelors: minimum two (2) year of job experience in a computer science, business or healthcare field
- Associates: minimum four (4) years of job experience in a computer science, business or healthcare field
- High School Diploma or equivalent: Minimum six (6) years support, technical, business, clinical, or healthcare related experience in lieu of degree
EXPERIENCE
- Clinical experience strongly preferred
- Intermediate computer experience required, with personal computer applications and larger systems.
- Previous healthcare information systems support experience strongly preferred.
- Project management experience is desired.
- Candidates for a clinical team should also be familiar with regulatory requirements applicable to patient care to include, but not limited to, JCAHO, NYSDOH, HIPAA, and OSHA.Clinical team candidates should also be proficient with patient care processes commonly found across the continuum of care.
- Candidates for a Clinical team may preferably have related health care specialty experience such as Nursing, Med Tech, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Pharmacy.
- Industry Certifications recognized with preference.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Outstanding and proven skills to interact directly with clinical customers in a face-to-face live environment
- Knowledge of clinic processes and operations
- Technical knowledge of EMR computer applications preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated skills with personal computer applications, including Windows, and Microsoft Office applications
- Very good organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated track record of project and system documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of changes or modifications, technical or operational, to assigned areas.
- Ability to establish good working relationships with clinic staff at all levels, including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff, and management
- Ability to work independently and productively in a very fluid work environment with minimal direct supervision
- Ability and means to travel among CHS and Trinity Medical sites, including a valid NYS driver's license
- Ability to successfully complete any required training and/or certifications pertinent to software support.
