Environmental Services Tech III (Per Diem Evening) - Environmental Services
Who You Are:
Catholic Medical Center is seeking an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintaining cleanliness and safety in a healthcare setting. You thrive in a team environment and understand the importance of infection control and following safety protocols. You're comfortable working with various cleaning equipment, enjoy a structured routine, and can adapt to varying physical demands. You are comfortable performing Tech I/II duties as assigned.
What You'll Do:
- Perform thorough cleaning procedures across assigned facility areas, including patient rooms, public spaces, operating rooms, and offices.
- Execute the seven-step cleaning process: trash removal, high dusting, disinfecting, dry mopping, bathroom cleaning, wet mopping, and final inspection.
- Utilize and maintain cleaning tools such as rotary shampooers, floor scrubbers, buffers, and wet vacuums.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials during daily rounds and ensure proper disposal practices.
- Maintain and organize storage areas, restocking supplies and tracking inventory.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control policies and safety guidelines for chemicals.
- Understanding of emergency preparedness protocols.
- Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, with frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to work in varied environments, including exposure to mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, and temperature extremes.
- Willingness to wear necessary protective gear, including masks, gloves, and gowns.
