You are an experienced Medical Assistant with a strong leadership background and a passion for supporting your team in delivering high-quality patient care. You thrive in dynamic environments, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You are a proactive communicator and dedicated to continuous improvement in clinical workflows, training, and team development.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate daily staffing and provide back-up for Medical Assistants and LPNs, ensuring smooth operations across all practice sites.
- Train and mentor new and existing staff in collaboration with the Nurse Manager to enhance team performance.
- Lead efforts for EMR updates and integration, becoming a "Super User" to support clinical staff.
- Manage the medication prior authorization process and assist staff with systems like CovermyMeds.
- Oversee rooming schedules, clinical scheduling problem-solving, and assist with patient flow issues.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements through daily and monthly room checks and ongoing quality assurance.
- Review patient charts in advance of appointments, ensuring all lab work and diagnostic procedures are complete.
- Act as a resource for the Medical Assistant and LPN teams, offering training, guidance, and support.
What You'll Bring:
- 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant with progressively responsible experience; prior supervisory or lead experience is preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Clinical Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, ICD-10, CPT coding, and insurance procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care.
