POSITION SUMMARY:
To p r ov i de high quality, efficient , cost-effective , and state of the art med i cal services for the P h y s i c ian Practice Associates department at Catholic Medical Center . Evaluates and assess pati ent's needs and manages of all aspects of patient care to attain the delivery of efficient , cost e ff e c t ive , quality care. Foster a positive work environment for staff conducive to professional g ro w th, accountability and autonomy. Creates and maintains a warm and friendly atmosphere for pa t ien ts , Catholic Medical Center Health staff, referring and staff physicians , and visitors.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. P rovi des and manages direct patient care , including physical examinat i ons , evaluations , a sse ssments , d i agnoses and treatment for a specified pat i ent popu l ation .
2. P r escribes pharmaceut i cals , other medications , and treatment regimens as appropriate to a sse ssed medical condit i ons .
3. R efer s patients to spec i alists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate .
4. May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program , patient care unit , or outpatient o ffi c e
5. D i r e ct s and coord i nates the patient care act i v it ies of nurs i ng and support staff as required .
6. F ol l ows establ i shed departmental pol i cies , procedures , and objectives , continuous quality i m provement objectives , and safety , environmental , and/or infection control standards .
7. M a i ntain Practice on-call schedu l e as agreed to by PPA
8. M ay provide hospital coverage for designated specialty as agreed to by PPA
9. A s appropriate to the posit i on , participates in specified hea l th promotion , education and/or p revention programs .
10. Pe rf orm s miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

WORK SCHEDULE: A full-time work schedule is equivalent to a minimum of 36 patient contact hours per week with eight administrative hours. Schedules may vary from 4 to 4.5 days per week depending on the number of hours worked each day.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required (DO).
Experience:
- Proven experience as a physician with strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics including interpretation and evaluation of symptoms.
- Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.
Licensure/ Certification:
- Board Certified in Specified Area of Medical Specialty or Board Eligible with successful completion of boards within two (2) years.
- Current NH state license DEA Certification
