As a Phlebotomist at Catholic Medical Center, You are skilled and compassionate, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. With your attention to detail and professionalism, you ensure the accuracy and efficiency of specimen collection while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
What you'll do:
- Perform venous specimen collection for various tests across all age groups.
- Accurately register patients and collect samples.
- Receive and process physician orders for blood tests.
- Operate specimen transport systems and ensure proper handling.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
- Provide immediate patient care post-specimen collection. And document adverse patient reactions promptly.
What you'll bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training course.
- Three years of full-time phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to interruptions and unexpected situations.
