Visit https://www.catholicforester.org/ to learn more about how we serve communities around the U.S. As a Claims Specialist in Naperville, IL, you will serve as the primary point of contact for members and producers, providing exceptional customer service through phone and written correspondence. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining insurance policies, as well as assisting with claims-related inquiries and processing. You will handle death claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, claims are processed accurately, and beneficiaries are guided through each step of the claims process with empathy and professionalism. Additionally, you will address other member inquiries related to policy updates, coverage changes, and account servicing, providing accurate information in a timely and clear manner. To succeed in this position, you must be able to handle both routine and complex customer service tasks with a sense of urgency while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail. Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential, particularly when dealing with sensitive situations such as claims. You will need to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the smooth processing of claims and the resolution of any issues. The role also requires organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in handling insurance claims, particularly death claims, is highly preferred, along with the ability to remain compassionate and effective in high-stress situations. This role demands someone who is proactive, flexible, and capable of maintaining a positive and supportive attitude in all interactions with members. The expected hiring range will be $22.28/hour - $27.59/hour and will depend on a variety of factors to include, but not limited to, location, experience, education, skill level, and other relevant factors. Our workweek is based on 36.25 hours.
