Overview
Within the Archdiocese of New York, there is a network of over 150 elementary and secondary, Archdiocesan, parish and private schools covering the boroughs of Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, and Rockland counties. Talented administrators, pastors, and over 3,000 teachers serve our students, their families, and local communities.
Our teachers set high expectations for students as well as themselves. They believe every student can and will achieve. They foster a positive school environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and a love of learning. They teach with enthusiasm, and their passion inspires curiosity in students that encourage them to learn.
For the 2025-2026 school year, we are seeking highly motivated individuals to teach in our elementary schools.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons and activities
- Plan, teach and assess engaging lessons using NYS Next Generation Standards
- Execute lessons that reach and challenge all students
- Hold high expectations for holistic student performance
- Employ a myriad of formative and summative assessment measures
- Effectively use assessment data to ensure improved academic outcomes for all students
- Ensure classroom management that fosters resiliency and accountability in all students
- Engage in ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- Successfully cleared background check
Preferred:
- Practicing Roman Catholic
- Master's degree in education or related field
- Teaching Credentials
Salary: $55,072- $76,907 (Dependent upon education and experience)
