Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Peer Coach to join our team. As a Peer Coach, you will provide guidance and support to individuals facing challenges related to addiction, mental health, and crisis situations. Your role will involve utilizing your own lived experiences to empower and motivate others towards positive change.
Responsibilities
- Offer peer support and mentorship to individuals in need
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to address personal goals and challenges
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire behavioral changes
- Assist in crisis intervention and management when necessary
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to develop holistic support plans
- Provide resources and referrals for additional services as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in addiction counseling, social work, or mental health counseling
- Strong understanding of behavioral health systems and crisis management
- Proficiency in mentoring and guiding individuals towards self-improvement
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques
- Ability to empathize and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds
