Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and management of store activities.
- Supervise staff, training, and scheduling employees to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions and handling of cash.
- Oversee inventory management, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Implement budgeting strategies to maximize profitability while minimizing costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance expectations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a supervisory role within a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Proficient in budgeting practices and financial management principles.
- Experience with payroll processing and employee management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
