As a Veterinarian specializing in Primary Care, you will play a crucial role in providing medical care to a variety of animals, ensuring their well-being and health. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations on animals to assess their health status
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in pets
- Perform surgical procedures as needed
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to deliver comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine
- State licensure to practice veterinary medicine
- Strong knowledge of pet care, veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and animal handling
- Experience with equine care is a plus
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care protocols
