Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Elm Street Academy. As a Social Studies Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching social studies courses to high school students, including world history, US history, government, and economics.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach social studies courses to high school students
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with parents and colleagues regarding student progress
Requirements
- NY State Certification as a Social Studies Teacher
- Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum and instructional methods
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
