What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Ser Engineer I position at Cattron?
Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment.
- Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
- Interprets customers’ needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers.
- This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
REQUIREMENTS
- Skilled worker with professional experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with solid-modeling software, preferable Pro/Engineering
- Ability to absorb product knowledge of all Laird Technologies products
- Ability to conduct a needs assessment to determine accurate understanding of customer needs
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Attention to detail a must
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience/knowledge in manufacturing processes preferred
- 0-2 years of related experience; preferably with electromechanical components
