Part-Time (20 hrs. per week)
About TransLash
TransLash tells trans stories to save trans lives. As a trusted source for journalists, thought leaders, movement activists, researchers, and those wanting to know about trans people, we produce narratives about and for the trans community––accurately and reliably. At a time when disinformation about trans people is being used to undermine democracy and human rights, TransLash serves as a beacon of hope through the voices of our community that we share with the world.
Job Summary
The part-time Project Manager will play a critical role in bringing TransLash Media’s award-winning investigative project, the Anti-Trans Hate Machine, to life—from inception to launch—by coordinating across teams to ensure this essential journalism reaches its full impact.
The Anti-Trans Hate Machine pulls back the curtain on the anti-trans hate movement, revealing how today’s attacks on trans rights are central to a larger strategy to overturn democracy. The project’s biggest component is a documentary podcast hosted by TransLash Media founder and CEO, Imara Jones, a decorated journalist named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2023.
This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead improvements in workflows, systems, and efficiencies while working alongside a dedicated team to produce journalism that shapes public discourse. Reporting to the Director of Podcasts and working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager will ensure seamless collaboration across teams, keep the investigative project on track, and ensure a smooth, impactful launch of this yearly show.
