Senior Visualization Engineer

Are you passionate about bringing the CAVA experience to life through data? Are you a data visionary with a passion for transforming numbers into compelling stories? We're seeking a talented Tableau Admin and Visualization Engineer to join our team and unlock the power of our data.

As a Tableau Admin and Visualization Engineer at CAVA, you'll be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making, crafting insightful visualizations that drive business growth and enhance the guest experience. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uncover hidden trends, optimize operations, and elevate our brand. Your expertise in Tableau administration will ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and security, while your creative flair will bring our data to life through captivating visualizations. You'll play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that fuel our business decisions. You'll work closely with our teams to create stunning visualizations that tell the story of our brand and help us deliver exceptional experiences for our guests

What You’ll Do

• Tableau Administration:
• Manage and maintain Tableau Server environment, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Optimize Tableau Server performance and scalability.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues.
• Data Visualization:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Optimize Tableau visualizations for performance and usability.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau tools and best practices.
• Data Integration:
• Connect Tableau to various data sources (databases, spreadsheets, cloud-based data) and ensure data integrity.
• Optimize data extraction and loading processes for efficient performance.
• Data Governance:
• Enforce data standards and best practices within the Tableau environment.
• Maintain data quality and accuracy.
• Develop and implement data governance policies.
• Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to meet their data needs and communicate data impacts in a timely and effective manner
• Execute effective decision-making skills to led team to succeed
• Maintain emotional stability in stressful situations; lead by example for how our team should handle adversity
• Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset
• Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly
• Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values

The Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Server administration.
• Experience in designing and developing complex Tableau dashboards and visualizations.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• SQL proficiency for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with managing data workflows at scale – Apache Airflow is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effectively be able to scale data solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
• Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
• For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
• Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
