Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Trainiee
Location: Dumfries Stafford & Fredericksburg, VA
Well established and growing fire sprinkler contractor looking for a full-time fire sprinkler installation/service helpers to work in the Washington DC metro area. Will train and enroll in apprenticeship program.
Responsibilities:
- Assist foreman/service technician with cutting, threading and grooving pipe
- Learn to read blue prints and diagrams related to field installations
- Have some hand tools to work in field
- Help foreman/service technician hang pipe in field
- Maintain safe and clean work areas
- Inspect, test and maintain fire sprinkler systems
- Use and care for personal protective equipment
- Follow established safety protocol and VOSCHA standards per training
- Load and unload materials, tools and equipment on job sites
Experience & Skills Desired:
- No experience required
- Work in a team environment
- Be able to work to deadlines with some OT
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read, write and comprehend required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Detailed oriented
- Communicate effectively with co-workers
