Key Responsibilities:
- Assess resident status, documenting medical needs and developing treatment plans
- Monitor activity and provide nursing care according to physician orders, care plans, and facility protocols
- Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges, communicating with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and treatments, taking vital signs, and documenting accordingly
- Schedule CNAs' job assignments, ensuring adequate supervision and guidance
- Take reports at shift start, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
- Be observant for changes in resident condition, notifying supervisors, physicians, and family members as needed
- Visit residents regularly, supervise feeding, and administer tube feedings
- Order medications, complete lab slips, x-ray requests, and M.A.R.s, and provide routine nursing documentation
- Prepare residents for outings, answer phones, and complete incident reports as necessary
Requirements:
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) currently licensed and in good standing with the Board of Nursing in the State of Arkansas
- Tolerate a high-paced work environment, take and give instructions well, and enjoy working with the elderly
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and use fine hand motor coordination
- Comprehend and follow instructions, read and write legibly, and communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff
