Our business is growing, and we are accepting applications for a Receiving Manager, at our facility in Louisa, VA. This position is responsible for overseeing incoming shipments in our warehouse, ensuring goods are undamaged and properly stored.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the efficient inspection, receiving, and slotting of all inbound products by following established procedures and protocol to ensure accurate count, pack, and compliance with company standards for quality, freshness, and safety.
- Coordinate with other warehouse managers and employees to help with storage, shipping and receiving operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and oversee the receipt of product (self or team).
- Manage the delivery schedule of vendors and plan accordingly.
- Ensure that all incoming products match the count and meets the company's standards for freshness and food safety.
- Review expected inbound purchase orders and be prepared daily.
- Refuse products that does not meet company standards for freshness and food safety per each vendor's instruction.
- Accurately complete the receiving process before the end of your shift.
- Produce a 'receiving summary' each morning noting vendor, temperature of truck, quality of goods, arrival time, and count differentials for distribution throughout the organization.
- Review committed items and cross-dock those items from incoming shipments to fill corresponding orders.
- Supervise the proper labeling, slotting and storage of incoming products.
- Ensure vendor returns are loaded and paperwork properly processed
- Review receiving processes and make changes to promote efficiency.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies for food safety and food security;
- Complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with company policy and procedures;
- Supports and backs up Director of Operations as needed;
- All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years of food safety experience, with management level experience in HACCP, USDA, or FDA preferred.
- Two to three (2-3) years supervisory/management experience, preferably within a warehouse environment;
- Experience with ProducePro is a plus;
- Familiarity with using technology platforms (i.e., WMS, tablets) to track and maintain deliveries.
- Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and follow through coupled with the desire to exceed customers' expectations;
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and appropriately based on business needs;
- Strong verbal and written communications skills;
- Demonstrated, strong problem-solving skills, resolves matters quickly and appropriately;
- Great customer service skills;
- Knowledge and application of safe procedures and workflow in a light industrial setting;
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery properly and possess correct OSHA certifications to operate same;
- Be able and willing to regularly work on Saturdays on a rotating basis.
- Physical Requirements:
- Be able to stand regularly for up to four (4) hours at a time on hard surfaces;
- Be able to regularly manipulate products with arms, wrists, and hands for up to four (4) hours at a time.
- Be able to work in cool areas routinely, such as refrigerated coolers.
- Be able to climb ladders regularly.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Bend, stretch, reach overhead, twist, and move, as needed, to maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) if offered a position.
