Job Description
The Cavanagh Law Firm, one of Phoenix’s premier and established law firms, is currently hiring insurance defense and coverage attorneys licensed in Arizona to join the Firm’s active practice in Phoenix. Our Firm mentors new and young associates, and recognizes independence and self-motivation. Requirements
The ideal insurance coverage candidate would possess some experience in reviewing and analyzing insurance coverage issues pertaining to personal lines, commercial general liability, and specialty lines policies, along with experience in coverage/bad faith litigation, and would have some exposure to insurance coverage issues.
The ideal insurance defense candidates would possess some experience in handling third-party tort matters, including auto, trucking, dram shop, product and premises liability cases, construction defect matters, and the defense of state and municipal entities.
The ideal candidates should have the following additional experience:
- Top 20% of law school class
- Law review and/or moot court experience
- At least one year of civil litigation experience in public or private practice
- Currently licensed and in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and writing
- Detail oriented
- Some deposition or courtroom experience
- Proficient in Westlaw, Word, Outlook and Excel
