General Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
The Feed Lot:
- Quality assurance
- Portion control
- Inventory logs
- Food Ordering
- Staffing
- Recipe research and development, themes, and seasonal items
- Process reports including food cost, food safety, and waste management
- Instruct team members in cooking techniques and sanitation standards
- Maintain and direct staff to keep cold storage clean
- Exceed prescribed quality and productivity metrics and increase food sales
- Manage The Feed Lot Staff on best practices
- Implement processes to increase efficiency
Taproom:
- Suggest, coordinate and communicate optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations
- Private Event Scheduling and management
- Live event scheduling and management:
o Communication with Bands
o Communication and scheduling of Karaoke/Trivia/Bingo/Open Mic Nights/etc. for Wednesday/Thursdays
- Ensure positive customer engagement and online reviews and respond to reviews as needed
- Effective social media presence (Facebook/Instagram)
o Weekly “Weekend on the Farm Post”
o Monthly “Month on the Farm Post”
o Facebook Event Creation
Brewing:
- Coordinate cellar operations with Head Brewer to project weekly schedule
- Schedule Beer Release Parties
- ABC Filing and documentation to be worked with Head Brewer
- Research and strategy for applying via ABC for Cider/Wine License
- Distribution expansion via VBDC
General Management:
- Respond to customers’ inquiries via phone calls, email, facebook/Instagram messages and in person
- Make recommendations to increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Provide support and training for bartenders and Feed Lot staff
- Opening/closing duties
- Manage cleanliness, appearance, merchandising, maintain cash till and deposits
- Provide coaching and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives
- Generate sales and network via trade shows, local events and fundraisers
- Obtain new cliental through campaigns and promotions focused on customer needs and local business demographics
- Assist in setup and break-down of event space
- Attend promotional events including festivals engaging customers and industry networking
- Administer discipline as required, coaches for improved performance.
