Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales, US Foodservice, the Divisional Sales Manager will be a highly motivated individual with a “can do” attitude. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail. The ability to multi-task and problem solve is key. The candidate will take responsibility for developing and achieving volume, margin, and net sales goals, as well as protecting and building new market share. This position is also responsible for managing brokers within established geographical location and holding brokers accountable for results.

We have two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB and another in Jamestown, ND. This position is also responsible for managing brokers within established geographical location and holding brokers accountable for results.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage Foodservice distributor relationships and achieve optimum sales results by executing distributor specific sales objectives aligned to the Division’s Strategic goals and overall Annual Business Plan
- Work directly with sales agents (brokers, distributors, and operators) in sales field in order to maximize sales and margins
- Regular communication with brokers, distributors, and operators (via phone and email) in order to ensure goals are aligned, strategies and opportunities are identified, and obstacles are being resolved. This task includes conducting quarterly business reviews with brokers
- Reporting as required (trends, reviewing and interpreting reports for senior management, managing expenses, etc.)
- Maintaining client information in company systems
- Preparation and planning for various market visits: Compiling reports, presentations and business reviews
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Years of Experience Required:
- 10 years of experience in food service sales with a manufacturer, broker sales, distributor background, or relevant sales experience
- Ability to develop and foster collaborative business relationships with customers and broker sales agents to achieve aligned on business objectives
- Be adept at thought leadership and consultative selling
- Ability to understand data and identify insights and incorporate into Selling Strategies and Key Initiatives
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, negotiation and persuasion skills and work well within a high performance team environment
- Must be able to demonstrate effective time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, while delivering on-target result
- Must have a proven track record of success
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
