Job Summary:
CaVU Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tactical Network Design Architect to join our team, focusing on Airborne and Navy Tactical Networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying new network capabilities, creating systems engineering artifacts, and applying security implementations. This role requires expertise in virtualized network environments, multicast networks, and the ability to write detailed functional systems requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically requires 4 Year Degree from an accredited university. 7 years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3 Years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer with proven experience deploying new network capabilities with a strong preference of experience working with Airborne or Navy Tactical Networks (ADNS, UCLASS, MQ-25A, STACC)
- 3 Years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer delivering systems engineering artifacts to include L2/L3 Network Diagrams, L1 Cabling Diagrams, Network Installation Guides, and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA's)
- 3 Years of experience with writing detailed functional systems requirements with measurable "pass" criteria
- 3 Years of experience with applying and mitigating DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide's (STIG's)
- 3 Years of experience with virtualized network development environments such as GNS3 or EVE-NG
- 1 Years of experience with designing or deploying multicast networks
- Must possess the ability to perform in a heavy customer facing role with strong verbal, professional, and written skills
- Must Cisco CCNA certification or higher prior to start to meet DOD 8570 requirements
- Must have CompTIA Security certification or higher to meet DOD 8570 requirements
- Secret Clearance or Higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Airborne or Navy Tactical Networks (ADNS, UCLASS, MQ-25A, STACC)
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification
- Familiarity network scripting to include TCL and Python
- Familiarity with automated provisioning, configuration and management using Ansible
- Familiarity with the YANG data model and experience with the NETCONF and RESTCONF network management protocol
Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package:
Salary at CaVU is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, education, training, certificates, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The expected salary range for this position is $165,000.00 - $215,000.00. To drive fair pay practices for employees, CaVU conducts regular comparisons across our employee groups and the industry. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, CaVU considers a number of factors when determining salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
