Our client, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry Contract Research Organization (CRO). They specialize in the identification, quantification, and characterization of proteins in a wide range of sample types.
Currently, they are looking for a Research Assistant to join the team:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prep a myriad of sample types – body fluids, organs, tissues, cell pellets, commercial products – to extract protein content for MS analysis
- Execute biochemistry techniques to achieve desired outcomes – SDS PAGE, liquid chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, protein enrichment techniques, and a host of other biochemistry techniques
- Complete legible, current, and accurate records of all weights, measures, techniques, and procedures followed and performed
- Participate in general lab upkeep duties and chores as well as maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Comply with all company policies, plans and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, and regulatory
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a life sciences discipline
- Experience: Wet Lab experience in a molecular biology, chemistry, or biochemistry laboratory
- Ability to work onsite in Ann Arbor Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised once trained
