We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Project Manager and Estimator to join our team. This dual-role position involves managing construction projects from conception to completion and preparing accurate cost estimates to ensure project feasibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, estimating, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local building codes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular updates.
Estimating:
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Research materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Prepare detailed proposals and budgets for clients.
- Adjust estimates as project conditions evolve.
General Duties:
- Track project progress and manage changes in project scope, timeline, and cost.
- Prepare regular reports for internal and client review.
- Assist with contract negotiations and procurement.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in construction project management and estimating.
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam), project management tools (e.g., MS Project), and Microsoft software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Preferred:
- Experience with commercial, and industrial construction projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
