Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors while ensuring all surfaces are free from dirt and debris.
- Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to maintain health and safety standards.
- Assist with laundry duties as necessary to support the housekeeping department.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations within the hotel.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or housekeeping roles, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in industrial cleaning.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
