What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onondaga Pre Trial Release Case Manager position at Cayuga Counseling Services Inc?
Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. seeks a Pre Trial-Release Case Manager for the Onondaga County Pre Trial-Release Program. The Pre Trial-Release Case Manager monitors and assists clients in the Onondaga Pre Trial Release program to fulfill the required release conditions. The Case Manager interviews potential clients at the Justice Center and acts as a liaison between the client and the court.
CASE MANAGERS WILL USE THEIR SKILLS TO:
- Conduct jail interviews and verification for recommendation to the Courts
- Meet face to face or via phone with defendants as determined by the court.
- Monitor conditions of the release, educational requirements, employment, Drug/Alcohol or Mental Health services.
- Acts as liaison between the defendant and the courts.
- Reports client's participation back to the courts and the DA's office.
- Preforms other duties as assigned.
Qualified Canidates must have:
An Associate degree in criminal justice or a related field. Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills and have the ability to work with individuals from diverse and troubled backgrounds; must be able to work independently and work a flexible schedule. EOE
