What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESPECT Psychoeducational Group Co-Facilitator position at Cayuga Counseling Services Inc?
Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Co-Facilitator for the RESPECT Group, a 26-week court mandated and monitored psycho-educational group for offenders of domestic violence following the Duluth Model of Intervention. Program referrals are made by the Auburn City Domestic Violence Court and Integrated Domestic Violence Court. The location of the group may be at the Cayuga County Jail or the main office at Cayuga Counseling Services.
Responsibilities include:
- Co-facilitating weekly psychoeducational group of 10-15 clients that have been charged with domestic violence from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm Every Tuesday.
- Accurately recording attendance and participation of individuals referred. The Co-Facilitator will also aid in the preparation of the group topic/discussion for each session and at times lead the group.
- Prepare case notes in the absence of the coordinator.
- Become proficient with the Duluth model of domestic abuse intervention program.
- Meet with individual clients during group if a problem occurs within the group.
- Cover the facilitation of the group alone if the other cofacilitator is absent.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required. ID required
- Training is provided by the CBI/Criminal Courts Coordinator.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic computer skills (windows, outlook, word, excel)
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have NYS Driver's License
