WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
Follows all state regulations, and perform and maintain department QA procedures and documentation.
Oversees and ensures compliance with the Radiation Safety Program and ALARA standards for the nuclear medicine department.
Adheres strictly to radiation safety protocols.
Ensures efficient workflow within the department
Exhibits strong leadership skills and supervises staff in delivering patient care.
Optimizes imaging devices to guarantee high-quality images.
Ensures prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correctly marked and patient data / history).
Provides feedback on image quality.
Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and any other areas in the department.
Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality
Coordinates with other departments on issues.
Oversees staff training, hiring, and evaluations.
Recommends and manages equipment needs.
Maintains all credentials and CE credits essential to position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SHIFT
630am - 3pm ; day shift ; start early; off early!!
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Experience : Minimum 5 years' experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Licensure : Must be ARRT(N) or CNMT certified
New York State Department of Health License or eligible.
Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
