Business Manager Assistant

Partners with nurse executives to handle complex, confidential, sensitive and hospital operational business. Provides support to nurse executives related to and supportive of health system strategic initiatives. The position requires strong understanding of health care industry trends and operations. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This role is integral in supporting the Nursing Executive team across CHS.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive-level administrative support to the Nurse Executive/CNO, including business outlines, performas and project updates. Collect information, prepare and organize presentations in appropriate format for leadership meetings and board reports.
  • Organize and maintain nursing division reportable data and information, ensure efficiency of data platforms and optimal use by all nurse leaders to maximize performance and minimize cost and latency allowing for faster insight and decision making.
  • Meet nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans, organizing initiatives, coordinate teams for strategic plan progress.
  • Provide tracked progress reports on key priorities and streamline throughout the system, maintaining timelines and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate nursing department workgroups/committees and representation for committees.
  • Monitor financial data to ensure that nursing initiatives stay within budgetary constraints and that priorities are aligned with strategic nursing plans
  • Serves as a liaison between the Nurse Executive team and internal or external stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationship with other departments; project management office to ensure alignment of, and cooperation with organizational strategic plan and nursing strategic plan.

  • Help Nurse Executive/CNO stay updated on industry trending, regulations and best practices by critical review of health care articles, evidence and literature.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: 2 years in Health Care Administration or Health Care Environment
  • Experience: 2 years leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft- Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business management tools. Epic experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and problem solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Baccalaureate Degree preferred
  • Epic experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying supplies and equipment.

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite - CMC Main Campus

Pay Range Disclosure:

  • $65,000 to $85,000 per year
