Position Overview : The Dietitian performs nutritional assessments on patients and works with medical team to prescribe and monitor care plans for nutritional needs. What you'll do : Serve as a department representative as part of the hospital clinical team Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes Menu development and implementation Work directly with patients to explain diets / supplements in response to diagnosis Provide recommendations for enteral and parenteral nutrition support Assess patients for malnutrition and develop nutrition interventions and care plans to address identified nutrition diagnoses Subject Matter Expert (SME) using food service management software Offer inpatient nutritional counseling Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above. Minimum Qualifications : Currently licensed as a Registered Dietitian Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics Preferred Qualifications : Master's Degree 1 year of experience in an acute care setting Physical Requirements : Lifting of 50 #. Standing for long periods of time. Working in an environment that includes a wide range of temperatures including production areas and walk-in coolers / freezers.
