The Office Coordinator has overall administrative responsibility of a smaller CMA Practice (3 or less FTE providers - single site) or supporting a practice manager in a larger practice. Promotes the organization's philosophy of excellent customer service and high quality
care. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health care setting preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversees day-to-day front end operations (i.e. call volumes, scheduling, access,
templates, customer service, waiting room, staffing) - Provides supervision to scheduling and reception staff. Provide matrix supervision of
medical records staff. - Provides continual, thorough review of provider schedules throughout the day to ensure
that each appointment slot is filled appropriately, optimizing provider productivity. - Provides a first and second level escalation for patients who are unsatisfied with the
appointment they were provided, to find creative solutions to these issues and/or
effectively manage the patient's expectations. - Provides initial and ongoing training to schedulers and front desk staff in excellent
customer service and monitor their performance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 year medical office experience required.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- Previous experience with health insurance and patient billing helpful
- Completion of medical terminology course preferred
