The role of the registered nurse is to support the physicians and/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care. The RN's focus in the Women's Health practice will be phone triage and you must have attention to detail and ability to prioritize the acuity of each situation. Other responsibility may be to assist in appointment scheduling, nurse visits and other related activities for optimal patient service. RN's by nature of licensure have an oversight responsibility to other clinical staff (LPN and MA).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performs professional nursing care in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Act.
• Carries out all assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients, per practice
  protocol
• Performs triage for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results
  and other patient calls per practice protocols.
• Provides patient education, as requested per physician/provider.
• Complete nurse's notes in patient's record.
• Works with all members of the team to achieve patient centered care as well as quality care by using the
  best practice standards and case management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Graduation from accredited RN program
• Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Woman's Health preferred
• Knowledge of medical insurance carriers and how to obtain prior authorization
• Knowledge and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks

• Lifting-must be able to lift 40 lbs

• Onsite-Cortland

Pay Range Disclosure:

• $35.63 to $44.18 per hour

Salary : $36 - $44
