Seneca View Nursing Facility is looking for a Transport Aide. This candidate will work with nursing to coordinate and provide transportation services to residents for medical appointments, picking up of new admissions, and recreational transportation services. Provides transport assistive services to assigned residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies and procedures and at the direction of nursing leaders, and facility transportation needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to residents for appointments or events, assisting with transfers, onboarding / offboarding, and use of mechanical lifts in accordance with care plans and policies.
• Safeguard and deliver medical paperwork during transport, document resident details on transport rosters, and maintain mileage logs and other required records.
• Follow directions from the Director of Nursing, Social Services Director, or Activities Director to organize and adjust the transport schedule.
• Ensure facility vehicles are properly maintained, fueled, cleaned, and serviced for safe resident transport.
• Inform supervisors of issues affecting transport performance (e.g., vehicle or resident concerns) and report any untoward events, such as injuries or changes in condition.
