We are looking for Family Medicine physicians who want autonym in an independent, healthcare system.No OB but otherwise full scope of patients.Brand new, well-appointed offices in both Cortland and Ithaca NY.The space is well designed and has lab access and some specially services attached.Cayuga Health is quickly becoming the premier healthcare system in the fingers lakes with a focus on patient care and quality of life for the providers.Key responsibilities
Patient CareConduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patientsPrescribe medication and other appropriate therapiesOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and imagingPerform medical procedures and surgeries when necessaryMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as neededProvide patient educationCommunicationEffectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues
DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in a timely fashion
Clinical ExpertiseStay current with latest medical research, treatments and technologies
Participate in CME and peer review activitiesCollaborate with other specialists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient careWork collaboratively with Advanced Practice ProvidersParticipate in the education of clinical learners (residents, APP students, etc)Quality and SafetyParticipate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Doctorate MD or DO from an accredited medical school requiredMust have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration;Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health systemDR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state requiredStrong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence based medicineExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCompassion, empathy and a commitment to patient-centered careAbility to work collaboratively in a healthcare teamCommitment to ongoing professional development and CME.Working conditions
