Job Summary :
The Manager of LakeSide Trading is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the convenience store, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient store operations, and achievement of sales and profitability targets. This position will oversee staff, inventory management, and compliance with policies and regulations, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Manager will report directly to the General Manager of LakeSide Trading.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
Monitor store performance and implement strategies to meet sales and profitability goals.Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.Staff ManagementRecruit, train, schedule, and supervise store employees.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee growth.Customer ServiceEnsure excellent customer service by training staff and addressing customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain a customer-focused culture within the store.Inventory and MerchandisingManage inventory levels to avoid overstock or shortages.
Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records.Oversee merchandising and ensure products are displayed attractively and stocked appropriately.Financial ManagementMonitor daily sales and cash handling processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and submit reports on store performance, expenses, and other key metrics.Assist the General Manager in budget planning and expense control.Compliance and SafetyEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers and employees.Oversee proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, if applicable.Additional DutiesCollaborate with the General Manager on promotional activities and marketing efforts.
Participate in community outreach efforts to build positive relationships with customers and the surrounding community.Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a convenience store environment.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to analyze sales reports and financial statements.Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time.Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Manual dexterity required for handling merchandise and operating equipment.Vision and hearing capabilities sufficient to perform job duties.Work Environment :
Fast-paced retail environment with regular exposure to outdoor conditions and varying temperatures.Exposure to second-hand smoke, dust, and other airborne particles.Extended periods of standing, walking, and handling merchandise.Employment Type : Full-time.
