LakeSide Trading is hiring a Retail Associate at our LakeSide Trading 1 location in Union Springs, NY.

Retail Associate:

• Greets customers as they enter the location.
• Accepts money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validates checks.
• Assists customers with questions or concerns.
• Ensures accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
• Processes returns and exchanges according to store policy.
• Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
• Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
• Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.

• Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of property records and reports.
• Maintains a working knowledge of facilities, as well as special events on property, to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
• Assists customers with all transactions.

• Have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Be a dedicated collaborator.
• Able to manage multiple tasks, flexible and positive when adjusting to change.
• Have attention to detail and follow-through.
• Communicate openly with others (customers, coworkers, and manager/supervisors) to aid in the smooth operation of the gaming facility.
• Provide red excellent customer service for each customer and employee you may meet.
• Maintain an elevated level of productivity.
• Work to build relationships with existing customers and work to foster relationships with new guests.
• Possess the capacity to work independently with minimal direction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to manage large sums of cash.
• Must be able to remain on feet for 6 hours and lift 50 pounds.
• Must have flexible availability as late nights, weekends, and holidays are required.
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Hours per week:

• Full time: 30-40 hours

• $16.00/ hour

General Shifts:

• 6:00 AM- 2:00 PM
• 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM
• 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM
• 12:00 PM- 8:00 PM
• 2:00 PM- 10:00 PM
• Shifts may vary.

Education:

• High school or equivalent OR currently enrolled in equivalent program at time of hire

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (required)
• Cash handling experience 1 year (required)
• Retail, C-store occupations: 1 year (preferred)
