Job Summary :
The Retail Associate at Cayuga Spirits is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting products, handling sales transactions, and maintaining a well-organized and appealing store environment. This position requires knowledge of wines, spirits, and related products or a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Service :
Greet and engage customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process sales transactions efficiently.
Gain and maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, and related products to assist customers effectively.
Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying shipment contents.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Verify customer age and comply with state liquor laws regarding the sale of alcohol.
Assist in planning and executing in-store events, wine tastings, and promotions.
Qualifications :
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of wines and spirits is advantageous, but not required. A willingness to learn is essential.
Working Conditions :Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
