Our client is seeking a Territory Jewelry Sales Manager to join their growing team. This position will cover the Western region, including Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico, with a preference for candidates based in these states.
This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on extensive travel and enjoys building strong relationships with small, independent jewelers. The role requires a hands-on approach, focusing on developing new business opportunities and nurturing existing accounts within the assigned geographic territory.
THE ROLE
The Territory Jewelry Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives within their assigned region, targeting both existing and prospective customer accounts. This pivotal role involves active participation in marketing communications, product presentations, trade shows, and customer relationship management, working collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet or exceed sales goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Territory Management:
• Develop and implement sales strategies for both new and existing customers, aligning with seasonal and annual objectives.
• Consistently achieve or surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Actively identify and secure new customer accounts within the assigned territory.
• Provide ongoing product training, sales support, and marketing assistance to strengthen client relationships.
• Collaborate with fellow Territory Managers and the President to formulate effective strategies, utilizing the "Thru the Store" sales presentation approach.
• Manage the sales pipeline through the established Proven Sales Process.
• Oversee and manage product displays and merchandising at each customer location.
Territory Planning and Product Knowledge:
• Develop strategic plans for key accounts within the territory.
• Create comprehensive market and travel plans for each geographic region or major market.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge, actively learning about new products and effectively promoting them to customers.
Industry Presence:
• Actively contribute to sales meetings, trade shows, and presentations for key accounts (e.g., JCK, IJO, RJO).
• Maintain regular communication on products and the competitive landscape within each store or market.
• Monitor competitive activities and share insights with the sales, marketing, and product development teams.

• Preferably has experience in jewelry sales, but not required. Candidates from industries such as corporate apparel, cosmetics, and furniture, where relationship-building and persistence are key, tend to excel in this role.
• A self-starter who thrives in an independent, fast-paced environment.
• Preferably resides within the territory for ease of travel and customer engagement.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• 10 years of proven success in on-the-road sales, business development, or territory management.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required.
• Experience in the jewelry industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
• Substantial travel required (75%); typically 3 out of 4 weeks per month spent visiting customers within the designated territory, attending trade shows, and industry events.
