Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping practices.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning.
- Utilize financial software, including Xero, for efficient bookkeeping operations.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management review and decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support audits as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software, preferably Xero or similar platforms.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and their application in bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to perform budgeting activities and assist in financial analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
