Case Management Assistant The individual In this role will provide administrative support to the Case Management area at a licensed health maintenance organization. Bilingual Tier l certification a plus. You must be an MA. with computer skills, and experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, and ability to work semi-independently under general direction. This position involves frequent communication with members, caregivers, medical providers and staff telephonically, electronically and in-person.
Knowledge of:
Medicaid benefits, Microsoft Office products
Essential Functions;
Serves as point of contact for acute facility-care coordination requests for post acute services and escalates for nurse review as applicable.
Creates electronic authorization for services and ensures timely notification to all parties.
Facilitates requests for letter of agreement with non-contracted agencies willing to service members.
Daily reconciliation of previous day's discharges and completion of open authorizations.
Daily management of health plan required reporting
Provide all clerical support as requested by license personal
Answers telephone inquiries professionally regarding issues that pertain to referrals and care (e.g., referral status , procedures, on how to request authorizations, etc.)
