Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our technicians with various tasks related to maintenance and repair of equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both low and high voltage systems, as well as any experience with garage doors installation is a plus. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Duties
- Assist technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Operate scissor lifts and other equipment safely while performing tasks at elevated heights.
- Utilize tools such as ammeters for testing electrical systems and troubleshooting issues.
- Support welding operations, including stick welding, as needed for repairs or installations.
- Maintain hydraulic systems and assist in the diagnosis of hydraulic issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Skills
- Proficient in low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with garage door systems is a plus
- Experience operating scissor lifts safely.
- Working with hand tools, powered tools and company equipment
- Drive company trucks and be able to pull trailers
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
