Internet Marketing Consultant - Remote

We have an exciting remote, full-time opportunity for an Internet Marketing Consultant (IMC). Create your own schedule between 6AM - 6PM, Monday - Friday!

Preferred candidates will live in the Finger Lakes region of New York, in order to accommodate quarterly all-team and occasional ad-hoc training and departmental meetings.

Primary Job Description:

The Internet Marketing Consultant (IMC) is responsible for building and maintaining trusting relationships with customers, becoming a valuable partner in their businesses. The IMC’s primary responsibility is to help their customers succeed online, while also fulfilling other marketing tasks, assigned by their supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer interactions
• Conduct monthly marketing meeting with each customer
• Develop and implement a tailored Internet Marketing Plan based on the IMC Operations Document
• Coordinate with the Production Team to execute tasks identified in monthly meetings and based on customer needs
• Assist with high-priority and emergency customer situations as needed
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain expertise in industry applications
• Establish Subject Matter Expert (SME) status on areas of strength within their IMC team
• Contribute to team initiatives, such as employee mentoring, job sharing, and collaborating with Sales/Production as needed
• Operate within IMC operational standards and guidelines
• Maintain a strategic focus in customer relationships, prioritizing long-term goals
• This position does not involve sales responsibilities

Required:

• Degree in Business/Communications/Marketing OR a combination of education and experience to meet job qualifications
• Basic understanding OR any experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, OR Google Ads
• Resourceful – with the ability to research and solve problems independently
• Self-starter with good work and personal ethics
• Excellent professional, communication skills both verbal and written

Desired Qualifications:

• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and works well under pressure
• Strong, trustworthy team player
• Experience with email platforms like Constant Contact or Mailchimp
• Understanding of SEO principles or experience with common SEO toolsets is a plus
• Self-motivator with the ability to prioritize and multi-task independently
• Ability to build positive, consultative relationships with customers and teammates
• Strong MS Office/Google Business Suite skills
• Content writing experience
• Thrive in a team environment and work well with others
• Passionate about learning new technologies/skills and be able to do so with minimal guidance
• Experience working with small/medium businesses
• Experience with WordPress websites.
