Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for carrying a resident caseload.
Assists the Clinical Coordinator with the development of other clinical staff members.
Completes clinical documentation, reporting and record keeping.
Assists with monitoring of clinical documentation and utilization review processes as assigned.
Provides substance use screening, intake, orientation and assessment as necessary.
Provides substance use diagnostic impression as determined by LOCADTR.
Provides treatment planning, individual and group counseling, family counseling services, psycho-education and case management services.
Facilitates counseling sessions and groups with residents, couples, and family members.
Provides crisis intervention, education and referral to residents and family members.
Oversees regular consultation with other providers, legal agencies, managed care providers and other needed services; as well as oversight of staff completion within this area.
Conducts discharge planning and care coordination as needed.
Makes referrals, coordinates services and maintains regular ongoing consultations with other providers, managed care organizations, legal agencies, etc.
Ensures that all individualized vocational/educational goals are developed for all residents.
Facilitates didactic/treatment phases and process groups.
Provides oversight and completes documentation as per agency requirements.
Participates in weekly supervision sessions.
Collaborates with other clinical and medical staff members in advocating for residents during Medicaid managed care and insurance company reviews.
Oversees the compliance of all program activities with agency policy and procedure, as well as the requirements of all regulatory authorities.
Assists with oversight of the program site medication policy and procedures.
Conducts breathalyzer and toxicology screening as necessary.
Assists with transportation as needed.
Is available for on-call responsibilities.
Is available for 24-hour coverage when needed.
Participates in weekly staff meetings and case conference.
Facilitates the resident government’s enforcement of program rules and regulations.
Takes precautionary measures to limit transmission of communicable diseases (i.e., HIV, Hepatitis B, TB etc.).
Serves on agency committees as requested.
Carries out additional duties essential to the above-stated responsibilities as assigned.
Is mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners.
Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others.
Regular attendance at work location.

Qualifications
Associates, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
A minimum of three years’ counseling experience.
A CASAC, CASAC Level 2, Advanced or Master’s level CASAC or other Qualified Health Professional qualification.
In addition the qualifications above, a valid New York State driver’s license is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
